SENIOR MANAGEMENT - FINANCE MANAGER
CAREER SUMMARY
As Deputy General Manager of Finance for the Joint Venture companies - Dupont Hua Jia Chemical Co. Ltd and Dupont Dongguan Performance Coatings Co. Ltd.:
* Successfully built local management team and achieved operating profits in 2009 for USD $11 million. Despite the financial turbulence and recession, the team concentrated on maintaining the JV`s market share while also taking advantage of lower material costs. As a result of our efforts, we were able to create the highest operating profits of USD 11 million for the Joint venture organization.
* Centralized the funds in various companies and branches of the JV organization. Established a central cash pool, centralized the management of funds and as a result the company was able to pay off external loans by RMB 47 million (USD $7 million) and also enabled the distribution of dividends of RMB 52 million (USD $8 million). Launched the first financial derivative tools in the JV organization in addition to creating the first financial arrangement of this kind in China`s, AnHui Province, Huang shan city with branches in Dongguan, Shanghai, Cheng Du and Shan Dong. Our efforts improved the liquidity of the various branches and companies within the JV organization.
* Identified the reporting GAAP differences between the US and PR China and shortened the month end closing timeline.
* Set up a credit team within Dupont Hua Jia Chemical, effectively reducing the past due percentage rate and accounts receivable by an average of USD $5 million.
* Strengthened internal controls awareness, incurred no repetitive audit findings in both sales and production processes.

Skills: Excellent knowledge of Income Tax rules and regulations enabled the company to avoid the income tax losses by approximately USD $3 million. Accomplished this by requesting contractors to issue their invoices to the company for all development jobs, according to payment status. Previously the invoices were issued only at the end of the project. Without proper invoices, the project costs incurred were not able to generate income tax deductions.
