Technician IV

I am responsible for the maintenance and operation of a natural gas compressor station, meter stations, and other pipeline facilities, including troubleshooting, testing, maintaining, and repairing pipeline equipment: valves, internal and external pipe inspections, cathodic protection systems, facility communication systems, Solar turbines and compressors (including start/stop, operation, and safety shutdown and controls), Allen Bradley PLCs, and Daniels and Galvanic chromatographs. I perform periodic inspections and routine maintenance on the pipeline system as well as monitor third-party activities, right-of-ways, and construction/expansion projects. I complete maintenance records, service reports, and other required documents. I have experience with facility encroachment activities including pipe location, excavation, and inspection resulting from one-call or direct notifications. I interface with technical support, government agencies, local emergency-planning committees, emergency responders, one-call agencies, owners and contractors, and perform public education. Working with our team to ensure the successful running of the pipeline requires clear, effective communication to all involved: supervisors, coworkers, and external contacts.
