Position responsibilities include finding and maintaining contact with artists throughout

York and surrounding areas; selecting works from artists to go in any one of 3-5 locations

including rotating work to give artists more exposure; hanging work and organizing

volunteers to maintain the gallery; drafting contracts and documents to maintain

organization of artists work while in the gallery s possession.

Responsibilities include working with customers to learn new glazing techniques, loading

and unloading the kiln, dremeling pieces in preparation for customers.

2010-2011York College of PACommunity Teacher: Painting

This was a 4 session acrylic painting class geared for adults with little to no painting

experience. Each student created 2 small practice pieces as well as a final 8x12

landscape.

Childrens Art Teacher

I meet with a class of 10 students ages 6-12 twice a week. We work on a basic

curriculum I created including sumi ink, plaster casting, and clay jewelry making.

Part Time Teacher: Ceramics, Art Around the World, Print Design

Discovery camps meet 3 hours a day 5 days a week during the summer. Camps and classes

begin with 3 hand building projects, then 2 pieces on the wheel during camps and glazing

at the end of the week.

Art in the Park Coordinator

This program involves taking a group of staff artists to different parks over a 9 week

period during the summer to do art projects with neighborhood children on

weeknights. The point is to bring arts in the city, and give the kids something

constructive to do without having to travel or pay.
