EXPERIENCE: Instrumentation and Control Systems Engineering include:

ABB Lummus Global Engineering - SENIOR ENGINEERING SPECIALIST contract assignment to Exxon-Mobil s Angola, West Africa offshore Kizomba "B" project including an extended Tension Leg Platform (ETLP) and a generic Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel. Project for 36 Wellheads capable of producing 250,000 barrels of oil a day and storing 2.2 million barrels.

* Responsible for Instrumentation engineering for the Safety Analysis Function Evaluation (SAFE) Chart for the Platform Topsides and Hull, Wellhead Control Panels, Production Manifold Hydraulic Power Units (HPUs), Multiphase Flow Meter (oil, water and gas), various production flow, pressure, temperature and level instrumentation devices.

* Developed SAFE Charts and Safety Flow Diagrams for the platform Topsides and Hull in accordance with API 14-C Safety Analysis Tables (SAT), and Safety Analysis Checklist (SAC) for Flow Line Segments, Wellhead Injection Lines, Headers, Pressure Vessels, Atmospheric Vessels, Pumps, Compressors, and Pipelines. Included production wells, gas lift, test / equalization pressure and bullheading, water injection, gas injection, water loading, and water-alternate-gas (WAG).

* Completed the Wellhead Control Panels Requisition and Purchase Order Specification for 36 wellhead electronic controls and hydraulic power supplies including production, injection and future conversions.

* Determined the FMC Production Manifold hydraulic valve capacity required and issued the Hydraulic Power Unit (HPU) Purchase Order Specification that was changed from all production wells with gas lift and test/equalization/bullheading, to include injection and water loading.

* Evaluated the Multiphase Flow Meter for measuring the gas, oil and water Volume Fractions or percentages using a 3-phase homogeneous mixing chamber, venturi total flow meter and a radioactive gamma-ray energy source for the phase measurement. Replaced a previous meter that would only measure up to 40% Gas Volume Fraction (GVF) with the Schlumberger-Framo Meter that has a GVF of over 90%. Also replaces the need for a Test Separator in periodic well testing.

* Utilized INTOOLS Engineering software and other instrumentation calculation programs.

J. Ray McDermott Engineering - SENIOR INSTRUMENTATION ENGINEER contract assignment to the Murphy Oil EPIC Deepwater Spar "Medusa" Offshore project in the Gulf of Mexico, with follow-on Devil s Tower and Front Runner projects.

* INTOOLS Instrumentation and Engineering Software was applied for Instrument Indexes, loops, process data, and calculations.

* Responsible for Turnover and Commissioning Packages (TCP) for the following skid mounted equipment: 1) Wellhead Control Panel, 2) Ballast Control System, 3) L.A.C.T. Metering Unit, 4) Sales Gas Metering Unit, 5) Environmental and Position Monitoring System. Identified TCP Systems and Instrument devices along with relevant Check and Test Sheets, Loop Tests, Operational Tests, Commissioning and Startup requirements. Reviewed Safety Trip Points per API 14-C and Safe Charts.

* Responsible for Instrumentation, including Seawater service harsh environment, for the following devices: Watercut (water/oil) Analyzer, Sand Probe Analyzers, Moisture and Dew Point Analyzers, flow/level/pressure/temperature smart transmitters for both Analog and Fieldbus applications, pressure/vacuum safety relief valves, flow orifice plates with calculations and senior/junior/simplex orifice fittings, flow restrictor orifice plates, flow annubars, elbow tap flow measurements, resistance temperature devices (RTD) and thermocouples, thermowells and calculations, thermal flow switches, level float switches, rotameters, differential pressure switches.

ABB Lummus Global Inc. - SENIOR CONSTROL SYSTEMS Engineering Specialist for joint venture BASF/FINA, Nafta Region Olefins Complex (NROC) located at Port Arthur, Texas. Over $600 million project, for the world s largest liquid feed steam cracker to produce nearly 4 billion lbs of ethylene and propylene annually.

* Responsible for temperature devices, liquid level instruments, and safety devices including safety relief valves, rupture disks and tank vents.

* Accomplished Instrument specifications and calculations covering process pressures over 2000 psi and temperatures from cryogenic to over 1100 F.

Fluor Daniel Inc. - SENIOR INSTRUMENTATION ENGINEER for Witco and Dupont projects (over $200 million projects). Witco s Taft and Gretna, Louisiana; Petrochemical plant update, Relocation of Brooklyn and Increased Automation, Dupont s Victoria, Texas ADN Deepwell Elimination project for major materials such as WFE, Nitrile, HCN, Promoter and SELF.

* Utilized computer programs for valve calculations, ISA S20 Instrument Specifications, Lotus Approach, Excel, and other Dupont & Fluor Daniel programs.

* Completed specifications and calculations for control valves (Fisher Rosemount, Valtek, Mogas, Xomox), regulators and relief valves, pressure/temp/flow smart transmitters, analytical & hydrocarbon analyzers, and temperature devices.
