Enterprise Derivative Reporting (eDR) - Since its inception, the limitations of the current DFRR system have led to the creation of a significant number of manual business processes, EUCs and IT workarounds in order to facilitate the enterprise derivative reporting function within RBC. It is clear that the current reporting infrastructure will not sustain the upcoming Basel 2.5 / 3.0 without creating substantially more EUCs and tactical workarounds . Today, while DFRR is considered the authoritative source for derivative reporting (BCAR, Bank of Canada filings, etc.), the DFRR business audience is very limited (again due to system drawbacks). The promise of eDR is to bring reconciled derivative information together under one application thereby allowing multiple business stakeholders to access one repository for all derivative related reporting needs.

Role and Responsibilities
