Assistant to the chaplain in 1st Marine Division as well as the 34th Combat Aviation Brigade. Primary role was to insure physical security in combat zone. Soldier moral was low upon entering unit; increased moral through a DVD messaging service members could send home to families; implemented fitness (running) program for service members.
