************@*****.***
During my undergraduate work at SUNY Plattsburgh, I worked three years in our school's television studio gaining a vast amount of knowledge and hands-on, practical skills in every studio department from Teleprompter Operator to becoming Head of the Lighting Department. Eventually I was promoted to Production Coordinator where I was to keep track of all crews' hours, making sure footage was handed in on time, and distributing the station's budget where it was needed. Here I learned the importance working together as a team to meet our deadlines. My relevant coursework includes AVID Non-Linear Editing, TV Studio Production, Mass Media Law, and Electronic Media Management, Writing for Television and Radio, Media & Pop Culture and Master Control.
Upon graduating I worked for WPTZ News Channel 5- an NBC affiliate news station- where I worked my way from Cameraman to Script Runner to Audio board Operator. I worked any hours needed from the morning, to evening to the 11 o'clock news. There was no task at hand I did not complete. When my team needed me I was there.
I have currently completed my Master's degree in the Interactive Multimedia Graduate Program at C.W. Post. I have gained a wealth of technical proficiency, including programs such as Adobe programs, Web Design, and Maya Animation. Some may think this over qualifies me for the position, not at all. I have simply been educating myself further while waiting for the chance to work in television again.
I am highly motivated, a quick learner with a variety of dexterity and confidence in my administrative abilities. With these credentials and my intense work ethic, I will make a significant contribution to your organization. For your consideration, I have enclosed my resume that more describes my education and experience further. Thank you for taking the time to read this. I look forward to meeting with you soon.
