EXPERIENCE:
In the year 2003, employment with J.P. La Barge ceased, as company did not want to continue the construction department and my husband and I decided to form our own construction company. . I was responsible for all aspects of office work that was necessary to keep things going. I used Quickbooks to keep tract of accounting and excel for costing spreadsheets to cross check costs for each project. Then turned over paperwork to CPA for financials and taxes. Things went very well until the construction industry was downsized.
J.P. LA BARGE CONSTRUCTION, UPLAND, CALIF. 2000 thru 2003. Working in the estimating department, job costing and assisted 2 project managers in the bidding system. (One project manager was my husband.) Was responsible to collect all paperwork for approved billings, Lien Waivers, Guarantees, etc.
J. G. CONSTRUCTION May, of 1993. thru 1999.
Working in the Estimating and Bidding Department, as Senior Project Administrator. I am familiar with work orders, purchase orders, invoices, liens, notice of completions, Accounts Receivable/Payables. Etc. Interacted with subcontractors.

A one girl office. Employed as Office Manager and did all phases of office work, payroll, payroll quarterlies, billing, accounts receivable, payables, correspondence. Set up the company on computer with programs such as 1st Publisher, Formtool, Quicken, Lotus.

DOWELL STEEL COMPANY, LA PUENTE, CALIF. May 1981 to April
Very interactive with General Contractors in construction. Correspondence, invoicing, payroll, union reports, payroll quarterlies. Using Basic knowledge of computer, set up cash disbursements, receivables, payables, etc. on computer. (The company closed as a union shop and re-opened its doors as Nova Steel Company in La Puente.) The owner and his wife ran the office and to keep it small, however, I did the payroll and quarterlies for them from my office at home. The owner passed away and the company was closed.

Duties were payroll, quarterlies, accounts receivable, payables and job costing etc. Company moved to Dana Point, then owners retired.
