Under direction of the Sheriff my responsibilities included (but were not limited to):
Responsible for planning and directing the receipt, disbursement and accounting of Duplin County Sheriff's Office revenues and expenditures.
Responsible for professional work in the overall review, preparation, and administration of the budgets for Duplin County Sheriff's Office.
Assists in the preparation of the budgets through the review and analysis of complex and sensitive departmental/program requests and issues for presentation to appropriate county officials and/or commissioners.
Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local laws and policies regarding financial operations.
Preparation of payroll for all personnel under the direction of the Duplin County Sheriff's Office
Maintain employee personnel files and reporting of personnel to N.C. Sheriff's Standards

Under the direct supervision of a Respiratory Therapist, I provided patient care for individuals suffering from diseases that make breathing difficult such as asthma or emphysema. Often, this involved giving chest physiotherapy or massage, using ventilators or administering inhalant medications or oxygen. I also received instructions from physicians, concerning patients' medical conditions and needs. Based on these instructions, I would perform ordered tests to determine how well patients were breathing and then develop treatment plans to reach the goals outlined by physicians.
