Dear Recruiter,

Rosemary Dodge was hired by US Laboratories as the medical technologist who

would setup the new microbiology section of the existing lab in St. Petersburg, FL.

When Rosemary arrived for her first day of work, she learned that the director

under whom she had been hired resigned, and the state had not received the

required paperwork for a license to open the microbiology section.

Rosemary understood that there were often delays in opening new laboratories so

she became fully trained in the operation, calibration, and maintenance of the

Cobas 6000 in chemistry and began training in the hematology area which included

2 Coulter LH 750 Analyzers, ACL Advance, and the Clinitek 500 for urinalysis.

Rosemary was very flexible about her work hours, had a perfect attendance record,

and was able to easily learn new procedures and instrumentation.

However, after five weeks, the new Laboratory Director said it could take as long

as one year before the state issued the license for microbiology to open and that it was unfortunate that a microbiologist had been hired so early. Rosemary`s employment soon after ended.

Sincerely yours,

Ying Pang, Lab Manager
