lack of candor. Mr. Roberts completed the Alpha Group training through the Florida
Department of Justice
Coordination in 2002 and subsequently has continued advanced study in this area with John
Kaster of the Alpha

NCPI is operated under the auspices of the United States Department of Justice and is
located on the campus

Mr. Roberts currently serves by appointment of Savannah Mayor Otis B. Johnson, Ph.D. on
the Public Safety
Task Force. This special commission is tasked with providing long range strategies and
public policies to
enhance safety, security, and quality of life for Savannah residents and visitors. In
January, 2006, Mr. Roberts
was honored by the mayor and City Council for this continuing effort.
City of Atlanta 1995 - 1996
In 1995, J. R. Roberts served by appointment of the Atlanta City Council as the Chair of
the Crime Safety
Awareness Committee prior to and in anticipation of the 1996 Olympic Games. As a
consequence of this work,
CPTED and order maintenance concepts were introduced to the City, public safety and
security policies were
reviewed and a number of new guidelines were implemented.
