Diversified insurance services company, 7th largest privately held company in U.S., 19 locations, and 800 employees.

Senior Vice President, Business Development Strategies

Provide business development opportunities and leadership for Employee Benefits, Commercial Risk, Health & Life Sciences, Directors & Officers Risk, and develop strategic partnerships. This includes both strategic and tactical consultation to senior leaders regarding rapid sales growth, sales pipeline management, acquisitions, producer development and strategies, employee development, cross-sale culture change, and change management.

Key Results:

Drove development and execution of comprehensive sales development for Commercial Risk and Employee Benefits, resulting in sales initiatives aligned to improve business selling strategies and driving growth. The first year, resulted in a 28% net sales growth and a quick turnaround from a negative loss in 2009 to profitability in 2010. The 2011 net sales growth was 26%.

Opened and jointly developed two key corporate national strategic collaborative marketing efforts for Hylant Group on new technologies and wellness initiatives with Battelle and Ohio State University P4 Excellence. This was a successful relationship developed the CEO's of both organizations.

Led the build-out of Strategic Partnership Growth, including the expansion and identifying key partnerships with Law firms, CPA Firms, M&A organizations, in the first 12 months.

Development and delivery of strategic sales plans and training programs for sales force; resulted in enforcing best-in-class sales management MH consulting systems within one year and building a strong sales pipeline foundation to continue future successes.

Developed sales force effectiveness framework for the agency and leveraged a strong foundation across the producer force. Aligned 2010 sales goals, performance management and incentive compensation plans to ensure clarity and focus.

Successful engagement of Hylant in the marketplace through strategies, network connections, involvement with local and international Chambers and various speaking engagements to promote Hylant.

Promoted to new role after ten months to expand the reach of my personal and organizational leadership strengths.
