Assisted a manufacturing client, to investigate unusually high number of cogeneration facility forced outages. Found in my investigation that cogeneration facility had incorrectly placed generation synchronism mechanism on the wrong side of a -Delta- -Y- metering point and was closing the generator 30 degrees out of phase with the utility bus, thus accounting for significant mechanical issues resulting in a high forced outage rate.
OCT. 2002-Mar. 2008

Traverse City, Mi.
Executive Director
Responsible for demolition and sale of a 25 MW coal power plant. Honduran Investor provided the manpower to disassemble and ship this power plant to Honduras for reassembly this resulted in a net savings in demolition costs of $750,000 and income from the sale of $400,000.
Tasked with reviewing options for new base load renewable energy source/ successfully applied for and received a grant from the Public Service Commission of Michigan for $400,000 for a feasibility study for a variety of renewable energy sources.
Tasked with doing a cost of service study/unbundling study /rate increase study to determine
adjustments in rates for various service classifications and amount of electric rate increase/We were able to minimize this rate increase by successfully petitioning the Midwest Independent System Operator (MISO) to allow TCL&P`s Transmission System to be included in MISO`s Bulk Electric Transmission System even though it is only 69 KV which resulted in an annual payment to TCL&P of $1.67 million
