I have been room parent in my own son's school for every year he has been in school thus far. Which means I am directly involved in the classroom with activities such as coordinating parties, field trips and other activities. I am the mediator between teacher and parents. Room parents also partake in activities in the classroom including reading to the children, tutoring, assisting the teacher, and working with small groups. I am a Certified Volunteer for the state of North Carolina and background checked.
