Projects Completed:
Young, R.A. 2003. Recent and long-term sedimentation and erosion along the Genesee
River floodplain in Livingston and Monroe Counties, NY. Funded by the US
Army Corps of Engineers. pp. 1-40
The project involved field collecting by Jeffrey Mortier and me, performing stream-based
digital imagery, GPS surveying, and laser channel measurements of the Genesee River from
Mount Morris to Rochester, NY. The project also involved rectifying and converting aerial
photographs of the Genesee River into ArcGIS 8 map formats. The river location was traced
and erosion rates were then determined. Refer to acknowledgement on page 33.
