Licensed Vocational Nurse/Surgical Assistant - Assist in hospital surgeries under the direct supervision of the doctor which includes: communicating with other health care professionals regarding the patient plan of care, writing preoperative orders, sterile draping of surgical site, assist is patient positioning, handling instruments, providing exposure, handling and/or cutting tissue, providing homeostasis, suturing, maintain sterile environment/technique, assist in OR room turnover, apply dressings, communicate preferences to OR staff for surgeon, communicate post-op appointment information/instructions, participating in postoperative rounds.
