Professional Expertise and Technical Abilities
2008 to presentCeramic DirectorManitou Art Center Tacoma WA
2007Ceramic Director, Gallery One, Ellensburg WA
1998-2004Retail Manager, Clay Art Center, Tacoma Washington
I was the primary customer service representative. While I was there I had to have a
solid working knowledge of all areas of the ceramic field. These include an understanding
of all of the chemicals and compounds that are both common and obscure. In addition I
diagnosed equipment for repair, clays and glazes for there faults. I worked with customers
to develop their clays and specialty glazes on a daily basis. As workshop coordinator I
was responsible for contacting the artist and organizing every aspect of the workshop.
These workshops include workshops for Peter King, Don Sprague, and Steven Branfman. I also
worked as assistant to Joseph Brecha for clay demos and Raku workshops.
