future cost reduction initiatives for vehicle. DESIGN AND RELEASE ENGINEER/MATERIAL COST
REDUCTION Coordinate and lead cost reduction activities for Ford s Body Closure
organization, which includes all Ford North America produced vehicle programs.

generation CUV, for body closure and hardware components. Respective program was later

activities for the BODY organization for WK/WD programs, including cost analysis, cost
reduction, and timing, which supported progress of product development.

SPECIAL ASSIGNEMENT:COST REDUCTION Directed the cost analysis on secondary obstacle
detection assemblies and exterior trim components, which led to a multi-million dollar
cost reduction. BODY CLOSURES DEVELOPMENT Coordinated and developed an experimental
prototype Power Decklid System for the Cadillac DTS. Led a team of engineers and
technicians at Milford Proving Grounds, to review vehicle with executive management, for
high-volume vehicle production. Successfully presented business case to Vehicle Line Team,
and received tentative approval for implementation. Program later cancelled due to head
count restraint from Electrical Engineering Organization. BODY CLOSURES Conducted the
sourcing, engineering, design, and release of the 2007 Full-Size Truck Power Liftgate
(PLG) System (including Escalade, Yukon, Tahoe/Suburban). Also, designed and/or released
sheet metal reinforcement parts for closure panels, decklid hinges, liftgate latches, as
well as injection molded exterior trim components. Met and exceeded all timing, budgeting,
and mass constraints, for production and prototype parts.
DESIGN/MANUFACTURING/MARKETING/CHASSIS/QUALITY ENGINEERING Completed a multi-year
rotational assignment at various departments within company.
