Territory Sales Manager 1998 to 2010

My responsibility was to increase sales by introducing new product lines, detailed sales calls with customer reps, and cold call with customer reps, advise company head office of legitimate warranties, follow up to make certain customer was satisfied, and work with the customer until he was satisfied. Area of coverage was Southern Alberta, to Grand Forkes in the south and north to Red Deer to Revelstoke in the north and all automotive jobber stores in between. Increased sales beyond companies expectations

Created enough business in a down turn in the automotive industry to create a Fenco stocking warehouse, first time in 25 years.

In an extremely competitive industry my sales increased 10+ times over my term of responsibility was presented with recognition for sales rep of the year by my largest customer warehouse group, which was voted on and decided by my customers. The company I worked with kept the hardware in their head office in Toronto, and rewarded me with a substantial bonus.

In addition to the above position I have worked on many Electrical Lighting projects in Calgary. Calculating customers lighting power consumption, calculating their savings, and closing contracts for retrofitting from T12 Fluorescent technology to T8 Fluorescent technology. Presently I am well aware of retrofitting to the new LED Lighting technologies, incandescent, high bay lighting, metal halide, and so on.

My duties were to expand company sales via existing customers and introduce new stocking customers of the product line. My experience included drag racing and doing all my own repairs on my vehicles.

Leeson Electric Motor Sales, Mississauga Ontario 1985-1989

National Sales Manager / Inside and Outside Sales/ Purchaser/ Recruiter/Trainer Specialized in promotion of a new industrial product line LOVATO to Canada. The product was a new magnetic starter contactor line for motors and other applicable areas, HVAC, and Panel Builders etc. Supplied HVAC industry with many a contactor. Working with CSA to obtain approvals, for other products the company was supplying to Canada. Sales were to existing customers and approximately 65% of my time was cold calling to introduce new customers to this product line. Also responsible for taking orders, suggestion of stock, and introducing my customer sales reps to the product and educating them on the benefits and features of this new product, during detailed sales calls. I had extensive knowledge installing many types of electrical products, after being in the electrical trade for 9 years.
