As an Air Canada Competency Center, we are wholly responsible for Air Canada Website. It mainly consists of 5 different fare families which allows its retail customers and travel agencies with various combinations and flexibilities of fare and provides them the options of various ancillary services. In order to increase time to market, provide the retails customers with flexibility of additional services for different markets & regions and increase the cross sell revenues we have been providing software production releases every 5 weeks. To ensure this, multiple release cycles and phases of various releases run in parallel.
Alt a Reservation Desktop Web Duration : Mar 2009 – Till Date
Alt a is a suite of airline products consisting of Inventory, Departure Control System (DCS) and Reservation Desktop Web (ARDWeb). Alt a Reservation Desktop is travel industry’s first browser-based selling and reservation platform and is targeted towards Airline Travel agencies. Using ARDWeb, travel agents can process customer requests for Availability, Bookings, Fares, Pricing and Ticketing via a browser. This product gives its users the flexibility and ease of use, to perform various operations effortlessly without any prior knowledge of cryptic commands used by the central system (GDS).
