Chief Financial Officer (April 2006-July 2011)

Hired to assist in building front and back office capabilities, holding full accountability for investment operations, finance, and business development, including transactions, management of outside legal counsel, finance and asset administration, information technology, marketing and sales support, and investor communications.

Contributed to a doubling of fee revenues in 2 years, and tripling in 4 years, by broadening the range of the firm`s business activities, deal pipeline, and executional capabilities, increasing total assets under management through a focused investor relations development and communications strategy.

Recruited and led a core team of finance and investment professionals to manage the firm`s significant growth in investment opportunities and transaction volumes.

Sunterra Corporation was the largest publicly traded (NYSE) vacation ownership group with approximately 100 resorts and operations in North America, the Caribbean, and Europe. Now a private company operating as Diamond Resorts International.

Vice President of Business Development (July 1997-October 1999)

Retained by the acquirer of LSI Group upon closing of the purchase to lead the strategic development and implementation of a transformative new product category across the enterprise - the company`s single most important post-IPO initiative.

Recruited and led a team of marketing, operations, product development, finance, and analytical professionals to create the group`s operational central nervous system, meeting Wall Street expectations by launching Club Sunterra within 9 months - then the most extensive points-based vacation ownership product in the marketplace.

As chief project director, led and coordinated development of the overall business and legal architecture of Club Sunterra with finance group, sales management, and internal/external counsel.

Acted as ambassador to the Board, stock analysts, stockholders, and senior management, providing presentations on strategic development and progress communications regarding this mission-critical, high-risk undertaking, and working closely with senior management peers to achieve buy-in and mitigate significant project risk factors.

With senior management peers, led the successful implementation of a staged rollout of product, process, and systems to more than 30 major sales locations in the year following the initial launch.

LSI Group is the largest European vacation ownership company, with operations in more than 7 countries. Sunterra Corporation acquired the group in 1997.

Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Business Development (January 1994-July 1997)

Hired to assist the Chairman and CEO in grooming the group for a major financing transaction or sale through financial reorganization and performance improvement.

Led the project to completely rebuild the group`s finance function, implementing new enterprise-wide accounting software, WAN technology, restructured charts of accounts, accounting processes, and robust budgeting, with a monthly management reporting regime and real time dashboards for key business metrics.

Achieved hard cost reductions of greater than 30% in 18 months and implemented performance improvement initiatives contributing to a five-fold increase in overall profitability by the time the group was sold.

Established new banking relationships and created treasury function - electronic funds payments and consumer fee collections, foreign currency management, forecasting, and short-term investment of cash surpluses.
