I serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in the Ground-Based Midcourse Defense (GMD)
Joint Program Office, GMD Battle Management Command, Control, and Communications (GBMC3)
PMO, Deployment and Sustainment Division. I coordinate, plan, direct, and review
requirements for Government furnished materiel, property, equipment, facilities and
services (GFX), Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), and Human Systems Integration (HSI)
activities in the GBMC3 PMO. I incorporate GFX/ILS/HSI requirements into system planning
and acquisition, design influence and support planning. I coordinate, direct, and monitor
the efforts of organizations and contractors in identifying, programming, and executing
GFX/ILS/HSI requirements. I analyze mission requirements and develop plans to accomplish
assigned functions. I reduced the amount of GFX required by the contractor from 271 line
items of materiel, property, equipment, facilities and services to 147 which resulted in
an over 15 million dollar savings to the Government. I compile data, actively monitor, and
report the status of the GBMC3 GFX and OGX (Other Government furnished materiel, property,

I briefed the status of the GFX and OGX programs to the Program Director during GFX Focus
Day, GFX Focus Day II, and OGX Focus Day. I conduct weekly GBMC3 GFX/OGX meetings with the
GBMC3 sub-components (functionals) (Ground-Based Midcourse Defense Battle Management
Command and Control (GBMC2), Ground-Based Midcourse Defense Communications Network (GCN)
