SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA EDISON, IRWINDALE, CA 1998 - PRESENT

Currently working for one of the largest utilities in Southern California that provides electricity to over 5 million customers. In 14 years, held 5 different roles.

IT Resource Manager - February 2006 to Present

Management of Information Technology human resources and staffing. Governance includes workforce forecast, recruiting, on boarding, training, performance appraisals, and payroll for approximately 1800 employees stabilization of SAP Human Capital Management. Collaborate with HR on people issues, and compliance. Managing staff of 15 resources and oversight of 6-matrix teams

* Project Manager for SAP Role Mapping for over 1400 employees and various contractors to ensure day one readiness. Ensured 80% of transactions mapped did not impact keeping the lights on for IT employees and staff.

* Managed the oversight and development of a new IT high school internship that was shared with President Obama. In 6 weeks, team developed, and implemented a successful IT experience to approximately 10 students the first year, which increased the community awareness of local internships and continuing education.

* Coached, and recruited over 40 employees/contractors to take new positions in SAP project team. This resulted in closing the gap in filling technical positions, and enhancing the skill sets in Information Technology ERP Team.

* Recruited, hired technical resources, and partnered with local colleges on IT's internship program. Increased interns from 12 summer interns a year to 60 new summer interns a year in 5 years. Quality Assurance Manager/Quality Control Manager - 2000 to 2005

QA Auditor for small to large software projects. Project lead for process audits. Objective was to identify risks and improvements thru root cause and analysis to move the organization to a Capability Maturity Level (CMM) level two certification, and ensure Sox compliance and business process improvement.

Objective for quality control was validating mainframe code developed by offshore vendors to ensure conformance to standards. Also worked daily with 3 offshore vendors providing feedback on gaps on project management, technical reviews, and people issues. Managed staff of 6 resources:

* Project manager for process development and the successful certification of SEI's CMM level 2-maturity model. Utilized as a CMM auditor for other IT divisions, and assisted bringing divisions to utilize best practices.

ALLTEL INFORMATION SYSTEMS, ROSEMEAD, CALIFORNIA 1984 - 1996

(Cal Fed Bank outsourced IT department to Alltel Information Systems, then latter bank was sold.)

Worked 12 years as an individual contributor in a very competitive and interactive IT data processing environment for the 5th largest bank (3 billion strong) in Southern California. Supported over 200 branches, 10 back offices, and 35 technicians located in Florida, Nevada, and California.

In 12 years, held 4 different positions, but being a bank, was expected multitask various roles:
