I am very goal oriented with intense attention to detail. I also possess the ability to
carry on multiple tasks with efficiency, in a timely manner. I am a people person who
contributes to team projects, yet I also work well by myself without supervision.
At the time of my retirement, I was an investigator for the Sacramento County Juvenile
Court. I was assigned cases relative to arrests and investigated each juvenile s
background through the use of the CPS (Child Protective Services) database computer,
transcripts generated from high schools, in-person and telephone interviews conducted with
parents, Internet websites and any other source at my disposal to complete an accurate
Social Study Report. Each report was submitted to a Juvenile Court Judge for adjudication
with a recommended disposition after I staffed each case with probation administrators.
Additionally, for one and a half years, I was assigned (promoted) to the Juvenile Court
Violent Offenders Unit; high profile cases related to violent crimes such as Sexual Abuse
which had a higher level of disposition incarceration at CYA (California Youth
Authority) or State Prison for cases adjudicated in the Adult Court. I excelled at
investigations and received a commendation from the Juvenile Court relative to my efforts
in the area of 241.1 Reports when the child was up for removal from the household due to
CPS issues.
I have good manners and I am very articulate. I know how to conduct myself appropriately
in public, I state my thoughts clearly, and I am not afraid to voice my opinions.
