Technical Experience:
Responsible for the embedding,accessioning, cutting, and staining of tissue both manual and automated special stains, as well as immunohistochemistry. Grossed in GI, tonsil, adenoids, bone marrow and hernia tissues. Preformed frozen sections and cytoprep work. Maintained QA/QC records for equipment, stains, tissue sectioning, temperatures, and send out logs. Experienced in sending out biological specimens, and ordering supplies for the histology laboratory. Have used microwave processors on small specimens to increase turn around times. Experience in the use of bar coding, the LEAN method, and the following laboratory computer programs: CoPath, Cerner, WinSurge, and Meditech.
