EXPERIENCE (1986 to till date)

Since Aug 2007 till date, I am with Chougule Machines Pvt. Ltd. an ISO 9002

certified Leather Processing Machineries, Stub Axles, Con Rod and Crank

Shafts Manufacturing Company. In this company I am as Materials &

Development Head and reporting to Managing Director.

From June 2004 till July 2007, I was working with Sukrut Group of Companies

a Multi Crore ISO 9002 certified Company, as a Corporate In-Charge of

Materials Department. The said group comprises of 2 big foundries, One

Manufacturing Unit as 100% EOU & another 3 for domestic market. In this

company we are manufacturing Cast Iron and Ductile Iron Castings, Various

Casting & Forged Machined Components and Assemblies for Automobile

Industries. Our major customers are Fairfield Machine Corp. USA, Poclain

Hydraulics France & USA. Turbomeca Turbochargers, Italy, UZEL Corp. Turkey,

Dana Corp. USA, Tata Motors, Pune, Jamshedpur, Lucknow. In this company, I

worked in various Cross Functional Teams such as

I was a Team Leader of Action Force against Customer Complaints & Cost

Reduction Teams.

In this group we are procuring variety of materials-Ferrous as well as Non-

Ferrous, various chemicals, and toolings for CNC and conventional machines.

In this group of companies, I was mainly involved in the Estimations &

Costing, Inventory Management, Materials Planning & Procurement,

Documenting the Contracts with Suppliers as well as with the Customers both

Indian and Overseas, etc.

I was also involved in rate negotiations as well as rate revisions with

Suppliers and Customers, too.

I am reporting to the Managing Director.

In 1987 I joined Shubha Engineering Pvt. Ltd. at MIDC, Shiroli, Kolhapur &

worked till May 2004. Shubha Engineering is an ISO 9001 company engaged in

Developing & Manufacturing of Precision Import Substitute Sheet Metal

Pressed Parts, Sub-Assemblies and Precision Machined components for

Automobile, White Goods & Telecommunication Industries. In Shubha

Engineering more then 100 nos. of Import Substitute parts were developed

during my tenure and I was fully engaged in it from the selection of Raw

Material, selection of processed to the quality requirements of the

Customers. Shubha Engineering was supplying components to Industrial giants

like Ashok Leyland, Hindustan Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra, Caltherm

Thermostats Ltd. Andrew Telecommunications (I) Pvt. Ltd, USA. In Shubha

Engineering I was responsible for the Product Design to Production Planning

& Materials Management. During my tenure of 17 years, I was also engaged in

finalising Project Finance and implementation of project. I was reporting

to the Managing Partner of the Company.

Prior to that Worked in Guest Keen Williams Ltd. (Sankey Electrical

Pressing Div.) Bhandup, Mumbai for One year as a 'Graduate Apprentice' in

their Production & Technical Department. Also worked on for few months On

Project Planning & Implementation of Fuji Tool Room Project in

Collaboration with Fuji Tools, Ltd. (1986 - 1987)

Worked in SIEMENS Ltd. Worli Works, Mumbai for 2 months as an 'In-Plant

Trainee' in their Material Administration Department as a part of MBA

Programme (1.6.1985 to 31.7.1985)

I am well conversant with SAP / ERP, using it since last 4 years.

ACHIEVEMENTS

In Shubha Engineering I was engaged in developing various Import Substitute

Sheet Metal Pressed Parts and Assemblies

. Isuzu, Japan's patented Gear Shift Lever Assembly with in-built

vibration dampers. This type of Gear Shift Lever was used First Time

in India.

. Similar type of Gear Shift Lever Assembly designed & developed for

Mahindra & Mahindra's Scorpio.

. Andrew, USA's Earthing Clamps for telecommunication systems. Competing

in quality & cost with Chinese Competitor.

In Shubha Engineering, last 4 years I was looking after all the activities

of the company and responsible as a Profit Centre.

In Sukrut Group of Companies, as a responsible for production head of one

of machine shop,

. Changed various processes in grinding section, which are resulted to

cost savings of 65 % and increase in productivities by 2 times

An as a Corporate In-charge of Materials,

. Suggested change in material in foundry for cost reduction resulted to

15 %.

. Suggested to some changes manufacturing processes in Machine Shop so

that our company has saved 30 % in raw material cost as well as 25 %

in manufacturing cost

. Introduced new system of material accounting to give most accurate

reports

. Suggested to the company lots of cost cuttings in purchases and

inventory management

In both the companies I also worked as an Internal Auditor for Quality

Systems as per ISO 9001:2000.

I was chartered member of Rotary Club of Karveer, Kolhapur. I worked in

District Chairman of International Youth Exchange Programme in 1999-2000.
