Activities: Worked in rural areas of Kanpur Nagar to 2010-May 2011

increase the awareness about family planning and dispel

myths and misconceptions in the rural community regarding

NSV. Activities undertaken included counseling of eligible

couples, training NRHM field workers (ASHAs), community

mobilization in camps, nukkad nataks, showing awareness

movies to village community, regular participation in

village gram sabhas etc.

Project Brief: To understand the acceptance and preference

of family planning methods among the slum women of Kanpur,

and comparing the acceptance and preference according to

their literacy status

Title: Assessment of Socio economic condition of child

labours in Kanpur Nagar

Project Brief: Project was undertaken to identify and map

the child labours in the city and to assess their socio

economic condition. Tasks done included field survey,

mapping and data collection.

Title: Annual Status of Education Report 2010 September

Project Brief: A citizen's survey of children across India 2011-November

to assess the education level of children from September 2011

till November 2010. Tasks done included data collection by

interviewing children below 16 years of age in rural areas

of Kannauj district.

Title: Situation analysis of health awareness among the slum August 2011,

women of Kanpur and Aligarh November 2011

Project Brief: To understand the knowledge of health issue

among the slum women of Kanpur and Aligarh districts. To

assess their knowledge about family planning and its

methods, breast feeding, child nutrition, pregnancy care

etc.
