PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Title: Price Protection.

Platform: Java, Struts 1.1, JDBC, Eclipse 3.2, Oracle 10g, Tomcat 6.0

Description:

This project involves Maintenance of a IPP application to enable Customer's

Price Protection Policy in the form of incentive that the product lines use

to keep the cost of a certain product in synchronization with the current

prices in the Market. A reseller must have a contract that entitles them to

price protection when the prices of a product decrease. Price Protection

allows our resellers to stay competitive, as prices in the market

fluctuate. In addition to the list price decreases, price protection may

occur when a discount changes on a certain product for all resellers in a

specific channel.

This contract holds well only if the ordered products are in transit

or are present in the partner's inventory as on the price decrease. Here

the partner will send a email along with the claim form and all the

supporting documents that are required to validate and process the claim.

Inventory Price Protection (IPP) is the application which price protection

claims are initiated to eligible Partners.

Responsibilities:

. Presentation Layer Development using JSP, HTML

. Creating table structures in Database.

. Developed JDBC classes to interact with Database.
