OBJECTIVE: I am currently seeking a position as a Pre-Press Technician

QUALIFICATIONS: All facets of four color printing such as: stripping,

scanning, proofing, desktop publishing, camera, color correction, retouching,

conventional plate making, and digital direct to plate.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

12th Avenue Graphics. Feb 2003 -Sept 2011

Responsibilities: Preparing Clients files for direct to plate.

In detail this includes preflighting, page-assembly using Preps and Rampage Workflow Platform, design,

type alterations, troubleshooting and image placement. I am experienced

in both operating systems, Mac OS (X) and PC. Proofing consists of lasers, PDFs and digital proofs, both

small

and large format. Application Software consists of: Quark Xpress 8.0, Adobe Photoshop CS5, Adobe

Illustrator CS5,Adobe Pagemaker, Adobe Streamline, Adobe In Design CS5, Macromedia Freehand,

Microsoft Word, Word PerfectMicrosoft Publisher. Additional duties include updating of all software and

operating systems, scanning, color correction,and retouching of all transparencies and reflectives,

maintenance and troubleshooting of all equipment.Also a lot of experience running the Xerox 700 printing

• Special qualifications: Stripping: 1-4 color for commercial and book publication. Worked in conjunction

with desktoppublishing, misomex, frame, and Burton board. Camera: Worked with Brown horizontal,

with a Carlson sharp shooter system. Responsible for all halftones, duotones, mezzotints, and rescreens.

Proofing: Responsible for matchprints, dylux and colorkeys. Plating: Frame plates.
