I was the Yacht Manager and Captain of a Santa Cruz 70' and a Sparkman

& Stephens 70' racing sailboat in which I took passengers on private

charters along the inter-coastal waters of the Puget Sound.

I worked as the First Mate on board a 47' catamaran. Our sailing itinerary

was from Maui to 14 miles across the channel to the island of Lanai.

● Salish Sea Expeditions 03/2006-06/2006

I worked as the First Mate on board the 61' S/V Carlyn. Our program

was inquiry based science in which we would conduct science experiments

while underway on the Puget Sound.

● Sailboat Deliveries 03/2005-03/2006

The S/V Scout Spirit is a 77’ Rachel Pugh maxi. I was the Watch Captain to deliver

this sailboat from Hawaii to California and from Cabo San Lucas, Mexico to

Newport Beach, CA. Also, I delivered the S/V Scout Spirit to other destinations

along the California coast.

● O'Neill Sea Odyssey 09/2005-03/2006

My crew role was as a teacher of nautical science on board the 65' O'Neill

catamaran. This was a living classroom in which we would take students sailing

on the Monterrey Bay Marine Sanctuary and teach them about the importance

between the relationship of the living sea and the environment.

● Aquatic Discoveries 05/2005-06/2005

This seasonal position entailed working on a 65 ton fishing vessel, which we would

drag a 100 square foot trawl net behind the boat in order to retrieve our ocean

specimens. We then would teach to a group of children about the various fish and

invertebrates caught in the net.

● Maine Windjammer Cruises 06/2004-10/2004

My role was as deckhand/educator aboard the S/V Grace Bailey, S/V Mercantile,

and S/V Mistress. We took passengers on week long sailing excursions off the

coast of Maine.
