● Emerald City Charters, Let's Go Sailing 06/2006-07/2011

charters along the inter-coastal waters of the Puget Sound.

I worked as the First Mate on board a 47' catamaran. Our sailing itinerary
was from Maui to 14 miles across the channel to the island of Lanai.
● Salish Sea Expeditions 03/2006-06/2006
I worked as the First Mate on board the 61' S/V Carlyn. Our program
was inquiry based science in which we would conduct science experiments
while underway on the Puget Sound.

The S/V Scout Spirit is a 77’ Rachel Pugh maxi. I was the Watch Captain to deliver
this sailboat from Hawaii to California and from Cabo San Lucas, Mexico to

along the California coast.
● O'Neill Sea Odyssey 09/2005-03/2006
My crew role was as a teacher of nautical science on board the 65' O'Neill
catamaran. This was a living classroom in which we would take students sailing
on the Monterrey Bay Marine Sanctuary and teach them about the importance
between the relationship of the living sea and the environment.
● Aquatic Discoveries 05/2005-06/2005
This seasonal position entailed working on a 65 ton fishing vessel, which we would
drag a 100 square foot trawl net behind the boat in order to retrieve our ocean
specimens. We then would teach to a group of children about the various fish and
invertebrates caught in the net.
● Maine Windjammer Cruises 06/2004-10/2004
My role was as deckhand/educator aboard the S/V Grace Bailey, S/V Mercantile,

coast of Maine.
