Digital Yellow Page Sales

After selling L M Berry,Sprint /DEX Yellow Pages for 15 years, the digital computer was taking over printed yellow pages.

I had the privilege of working and learning from Doug Harrell,The first Independent Yellow Page owner in the South East. Doug was a successful entrepreneur He taught relationship building/selling.

We began our digital yellow page endeavor with only an example on a computer it would be the first of it's kind. He developed a local digital telephone directory with white pages,community pages, maps,menu buttons, active websites,audio buttons and video buttons. He developed a Tri-Cities and a Appalachian High Country Local Digital Telephone Directory.

Developing advertisers for the new digital yellow pages was a very exciting and challenging job. Of the 50 to 75 employees hired I was top sales along with Doug Harrell, the owner and his son Greg Harrell. It was an awesome product but had Google as competition and lacking in funding needed.

My mother who was living in Bristol Tennessee became sick and I stopped my education before I graduated, took the job as Yellow Page Sales Representative to be close to her. I began my successful career selling yellow pages and was able to take care of my mother.
