Oversee contract performance, review and approve any contract revisions, partnered with sourcing during contract negotiations. Responsible for mentoring and managing regional facility managers that oversee maintenance and operation of Duke Energy Corporation's commercial buildings, including owned and leased facilities . Role also includes a focus on outsourced Energy Manager and Sourcing Manager positions to drive out best practices, and performance matrices identified with the top performers in the industry. Currently responsible for developing new opportunities with other business units to improve Duke's cost structure and service delivery for facilities management. Reviewing multiple shadow organizations that have performers carrying out facility related roles or functions that will transition to RES.Implement consistent processes between Carolinas and Midwest FM teams. Oversee all non-generation owned and leased building and grounds activities for Duke Energy excluding the downtown Charlotte complex through an outsourced provider. This included all offices, warehouse, garages, substation and telecommunication sites from Durham NC to Anderson SC. During this time Duke Energy merged with Cinergy (Cincinnati Gas & Electric and Public Service of Indiana) and was assigned the task of managing the integration team for all facility management activities. This role was to assure that all facilities were evaluated/compared, O&M and Capital budgets established, best practices were evaluated and implemented. Served as manager for establishing an enterprise roofing/waterproofing and paving program, developed the bid specifications for hiring roofing consultants for Duke Energy's Carolinas and Midwest properties, partnered with sourcing for bidding and after inception trained a person to manage the program.
