Summary -
GE Healthcare has acquired various businesses & merged under their Life
Support Solution & HCS businesses. I worked as data integration lead to set
up acquired businesses & did Engineering data migration from legacy systems
such as JD Edwards, Baan, and Mfg. Pro to Global Agile system & transfer to
different Oracle ERPs Manufacturing & Distribution sites. The new acquired
businesses need to setup in Agile PDM & map with Oracle systems so that
Design control data flow to different ERP systems for transactions.
Engineering Data migration includes Item, Item attributes, BOM details,
Manufacturer Part numbers and Change History of medical devices to Agile
PLM. This project involves fields mapping between Agile & Legacy systems,
Requirement gathering, Data Analysis, Data healing & cleaning, pull data
from ERPs system & put into agile templates. Identification of the test
scenarios while migration of data using Quality Center. Create ER, MR and
ECO for change control & push data in to Mfg. sites.

technologies with full system integration capabilities. Alenia designs and
produces high-performance combat aircraft, military transport aircraft,
special mission aircraft and commercial airliners to offer global customer
service.
C27-J RTC Improved Industrialization Program (IIP) project for Alenia
Aeronautica involves creation of Models, Drawings, and Assemblies, Design
modifications, Data conversion from Catia V4 to V5 Stress analysis & weight
sheet calculations using CATIA V5, Team Center Engineering, and DMU & Q-
checker. One of the key steps to reduce the industrial cost and improve
quality is to create 3D Model of all the structural parts (Approx. 23000
Parts, 4000 Assemblies) and to integrate them in a Digital Mock-Up (DMU).
This allows the manufacturing of most of the parts by means of Numerical
Control Machines, with a higher level of precision and repeatability.

Summary -
Pear Data migration - Import from PEAR legacy system of parent part
structure (parent part, workstation, operation, and sequence), Datanames
and program stamps (name and definition), item association, and routing
(operation sequencing). Extract utilities will pull data from PEAR based on
a parent part number. This interface is a one-time data load of PEAR data
that is to be migrated to the Teamcenter.
Datanames - In Teamcenter, There is no functionality available to create &
modify Data names.
To generate a process plan in Teamcenter, one of the basic information a
process planner needs is "Characteristics" data. . In process
characteristic needs to be part of TC and managed with in TC to consume in
Process Plans.
By building this application in Teamcenter, will make this Teamcenter as
single source information of designing Process plans.
Assembly Sequence & Instruction Form is a customized Teamcenter Form which
helps Process Planner to create, modify, and delete Multiple Instructions
per one sequence (Activity). It has other features like Ordering
/Reordering the Instructions with in the parent sequence, ability to
consume Chx (Datanames) to Instruction, add text in instruction form,
formatting capabilities.
Data migration utility - Converts the existing Work instructions in the
form of text datasets into sequence form containing work instructions
embedded as instruction forms & also delete the datasets if option is set
to delete.
This utility has dry run mode to test the. Work instruction data before
creating in TeamCenter database.

Summary
A process planner creates the process plan that contains the operations and
activities that needs to be carried out to manufacture a component or to
build an assembly.
A shop floor operator uses the operation sheet to perform the required
operation. An operation sheet contains the sequence of the activities,
resource utilized, items consumed and the work instructions to carry out
the necessary process.The project involves customization and generation of
WI reports in Teamcenter Manufacturing as per the requirement of GE
Aviation.

Summary
KiDE is a framework for system integration that manages engineering
parameters, maintains rules about parameters, creates and maintains
geometry associated with the parameters via CAD. It can be customized to
support various CAD systems like I-DEAS, CATIA and Unigraphics. It provides
an excellent means to manage and modify product data using the CAD inbuilt
PDM systems or specialized PDM system like Team Center Engineering.

Eidetic is an application developed by keeping in mind the needs of
interior designers. Using this software An Interior designer can Design a
room, place Objects in the room (objects like table Chairs etc.), user
would have an Online Repository of these objects. The business logic of
Eidetic suggests polling the web server and synchronizing Local repository
with online repository, we'll be using RDS for this kind of communication.
LightWorks as our Rendering engine to give Photo realistic images of the
designed room and ACIS 3D modeler as Modeling engine and Hoops as Advanced
3D Component to display 3d Models.
