Dear Recruiter:

I am very interested in the HR Manager position advertised. I have over 15 years of full scope HR Management experience in

small, privately held firms dealing with Owners and Executive Management Staff. I have personally implemented corporate

E_Verify which is a paperless I-9 citizenship verification system. I have taken and encouraged others to utilize web based training

(i.e. many HR and Motivational topics, Safety, Forklift Training, etc) to continue position specific training with the goal of achieving

high technical performance for all employees.

By continually increasing my HR Management duties and obtaining my SPHR certification, I developed a high level of trust with

Employee Relations: Encouragement of positive culture with staff including all morale events with the goal of engaging

Organizational Effectiveness: Link all HR programs to organizational goals including engaging candidates from Day 1 with

corporate values and behavior; Editor of the corporate newsletter which reinforced corporate goals; created Org chart on Power

Point; Train entire staff annually on Avoiding Harassment and Ethics; Management training on correct interview techniques and

effective Performance Review completion. Track and schedule the employee’s training with the department managers to ensure

people are being developed and performing at a high level to achieve high performance standards, etc.

Policy creation, interpretation and enforcement: create up-to-date employment policies revising handbook as necessary;

Interpret all policies and effectively resolve interpersonal and interdepartmental conflicts, create and deliver probationary plans

following policy and established precedent, etc.

Staffing: create compelling hiring advertising, define interview strategies and conduct proper interviews; train managers on

appropriate interview techniques; recommend hiring and salary ranges with offer letters; conduct all new hire orientation

encouraging employee engagement with company goals and retrieving with all employment and benefit enrollment documentation;

continue monitoring new hire progress with hiring managers for the correct integration of the new employee with alignment to the

company’s mission to assist in employee’s success; coordinate H1-B Visa and PERM (Green Card) processes with Immigration

Attorney; implement EVerify program and all appropriate pre-employment functions, including reference checks, background

checks and drug screening procedures; etc.

Compensation: Created accurate, up-to-date job descriptions; developed salary ranges from reliable purchased software which I

matched internal job definitions to the software for accuracy; Created new annual Performance Evaluation program which created

meaningful dialogue between managers and employees & developed consistency throughout the organization; created schedule

and manager notifications across company alerted managers of upcoming performance reviews to avoid delinquent Performance

Reviews by the managers; etc.

Benefits, 401(k) Administration: Administration of all core welfare insurance benefits and all voluntary insurance (cancer, STD,

LTD, accident, etc.) benefits and collection of all census data; and recommended improvements based on my knowledge of the

current financial position of the organization; conduct employee enrollment meetings and update all enrollment changes to carrier

software and payroll deductions; New Hire Orientation including enrollment to all Welfare Benefits/Voluntary Insurances and

executed changes directly into each carrier software system and corporate payroll system; 401(k) Plan Administration; transferred

payroll bi-weekly funds directly to Transamerica for each participant via ACH with matching funds and annual Profit Sharing

contribution directly to participant accounts via ACH; Administration of Health Savings Accounts for the HDHP including transferring

funds bi-weekly via ACH; Communication and individual assistance to employees with Benefits questions or claims interpretation;

etc.

Payroll and HRIS management: Maintained all payroll records and timesheets; Submission of Bi-weekly payroll; HRIS data to

execute changes directly into payroll software to create and update employee data files of salary, benefits and employee

demographic changes; created frequent budgetary, Executive and Accounting reports using confidential payroll, benefits, and

financial information. created and maintained database for employee Paid Time Off; prepare separate bi-weekly ACH transfers for

401(k) plus Health Savings transfers; prepare garnishment deductions and response to garnishment judgments;

Workers Compensation/Unemployment: Safety Committee member, Investigated accidents, prepared First Report of Injury,

OSHA 300, any accident reports involving equipment that required drug testing, accompanied employee to drug testing facility,

audited claims and protests; attended mediations and provided facts for audits, etc.

Regulatory Compliance: FMLA, Title VII, EEOC + EEO1 reporting, OSHA, ERISA, ADA, COBRA and ARRA, etc.
