Maintenance Mechanic
Offering extensive knowledge, skills and abilities in
maintenance duties to include painting, plumbing,
masonry, carpentry, trouble shooting, insulation and
sheet metal skills to prevent freezing and condensation,
also asbestos certified. Skilled in setting up and
operating a variety of power and hand tools/equipment.
Trained and aware of safety regulations, procedures,
practices and ability to apply environmental safety
standards as required by OSHA. Having worked with the
Dept. of Defense twice before from 2006-2008 and from
2009-2011, I consider myself very aware of rules,
regulations and procedure instilled in me through all
the training provided to me by the Dept. of Defense. I
have performed duties to include constructing,
installing, maintaining, repairing, modifying structures
for structural soundness. Ability to remove old paint
and rust with the required chemicals and machines if
needed. Experience in filling cracks with various
fillers, sanding and proper base coat applications.
Perform a full range of skilled methods and techniques
in paint preperations. Self motivated and applies
independent skill methods, techniques, some shop
mathematics to construct, install, repair and modify a
wide range of structures. Plans and lays out work
provided to me by way of blueprints, sketches, drawings
and specifications, for onsite evaluation to determine
project damage and/or to analyze project construction on
new additions. Provides other trade experience to
include pad locks and locks in general, concrete work
for sidewalks, curbs, slabs, etc., painting and
stripping traffic lines, crosswalks, turning arrows,
handicap parking and parking lots throughout Lackland
A.F.B. Texas. Always ready to except,fulfill and
complete any mission I am asked to perform.
