Work Experience:
Lead Programmer Analyst Jan. 2001 - Present
The Bank of New York Mellon
401 S. Salina St. 3rd Floor
Syracuse, NY 13202-2415
Responsible for the design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance
of software programs for multiple financial systems, as part of an in-house
consulting team. I frequently performed the role of Technical Lead Analyst,
writing specifications and assigning tasks to the development team.
Provided customer support to a variety of business users located in many diverse
geographical areas.
Received in-house training in client/server technology (see list above), and
worked briefly on the Inform reporting system. Utilized Oracle SQL, PL/SQL,
RapidSQL.
Current assignment is enhancements for the Client Data Warehouse (CDW). This
system provides a central repository for all of the Bank's custody data, and
transactions are processed via several methods, including MQ Series, SWIFT, FTP,
CICS, and NDM. CDW is an IBM mainframe system, connected to both mainframe and
client/server systems. Therefore, I am currently using all the skill sets
mentioned above, under 'Extensive experience.' Multiple systems in the Bank are
being consolidated or eliminated, with CDW receiving thousands of new accounts,
resulting in a tremendous volume of activity. Therefore, we utilize several
development regions, for the various levels of testing, such as Unit testing, User
Acceptance Testing (UAT), and QA. There are also multiple levels of production
regions, for DCAT, ITE, and actual production. Due to the volume of required
modifications, we follow CMM Methodology thru the Software Development Life Cycle
(SDLC) process. Our implementation procedure utilizes Remedy, Universal
Transmittal System (UTS), and Endevor packages, with multiple levels of approvals
and reviews required.
