Counseling Approach Using an Eclectic approach I use both Behaviour and Humanistic
Therapies as strongly believe in the principle that behaviour is learnt,
and can therefore be unlearnt, or reconditioned, I concentrate on the
'here and now' without focusing on the past to find a reason for the
behaviour.
CBT which breaks overpowering problems into smaller parts to make
them easier to deal with defined as thoughts, emotions, physical feelings
and actions. This practical therapy works best treating a specific issue a
The Humanistic therapy which I use are
Client-Centred, Gestalt Therapy and Existential therapy.
By using Client-Centred therapy able to develop towards their full
potential inevitably blocked by life experiences, This enables them to
experience and accept more of who they are as a person, and
reconnect with their own values and sense of self-worth.
Also utilize Gestalt Therapy applying on the whole experience of the
client, their thoughts, feelings and actions, and concentrating on the
'here and now' - what is happening from one moment to the next.
Existential therapy which favours the idea that the client is directly
responsible for his own life, over the idea of meaningful existence of
certain issues through a philosophical perspective, instead of a
technique-based approach.
