• Lectured and graded work for courses of science and technology in world history for classes of up to 120

• Researched subjects such as the relationship between pure and practical science in the nineteenth century,
attempts to adopt the metric system in America, proliferation of images in scientific journals, and many other
shorter projects for graduate courses

• Designed custom power transmission products, redesigned standard product line for cost efficiency and
elimination of ongoing problems
• Produced detailed assembly drawings, more complex part drawings, developed computer programs for gear
ratings, bearings, stress analysis, and other calculations, directed draftspersons, developed and tested
prototypes in lab setting, developed catalog for standard products and produced drawings for same
• Trained salespersons in basic technical aspects, advised customers regarding applications of standard products
• Determined warranty eligibility, wrote warranty denial letters when needed, visited key customers to discuss
future custom products and solve application problems, visited vendors to work out details on such
components as castings, sealants, and bearings
• Authorized tolerance variances, performed assembly procedure refinement, conducted plant tours
• Filled in as CNC lathe programmer for two months when that function was unexpectedly vacated, occasionally
helped with assembly or shipping at end of month pushes
