During the 4 years of my experience working as a Linguist/Cultural Advisor with U.S military personnel/Civilian
Contractors mentoring and training Afghan National Army, I worked for U.S military/Civilian personnel mentored
Afghan 111th Division Human Resource Department, Afghan Ministry of Defense Counter Intelligence Deputy
Directorate and Afghan Ministry of Defense Strategic Communication Directorate. My duties and responsibilities
were as follow:
Translated written or spoken language
Identified and resolved conflicts related to the meaning of words, concepts, practices or behavior.
Translated messages simultaneously or consecutively to Dari (Farsi) or vice versa orally, maintaining
message content, context, and style as much as possible.
Checked translations of technical terms and terminology to ensure that they are accurate and remain
consistent throughout translation revisions.
Trained and supervise other translators/interpreters.
Enabled the cross-cultural communication necessary.
Provided the team with translation, interpretation and insights to accomplish its duties
