My Job Responsibilities

1. Studying the customer tender specification and prepare the design

basis report for the complete electrical package.

2. Preparation of project schedule and document release schedules.

3. Preparing the process flow diagram, master and detailed single line

diagrams for complete electrical system.

4. Preparation of control schemes for drives.

5. Preparation of input, output list and interlock logics for plant

automation.

6. Attending customer coordination meetings.

7. Preparation of technical specification for electrical system

components and verification of electrical requirements in other

major mechanical plant bought out auxiliary components like turbine,

cooling tower/air cooled condenser and water treatment system.

8. Sizing and selection of equipments like power and auxiliary

transformers, PMCC, HT capacitors and LT APFC, battery chargers for

DC system, UPS, HT switchgears, LT switchboards, HT/LT motors and

VFDs.

9. Preparation of plant electrical and instrument layout like locating

transformers, HT/LT panels, DCS marshalling panels in switchgear

room and control room.

10. Preparation of routing layout for boiler, turbine and other balance

of plant cabling and earthing.

11. Preparation of cable schedules and sizing calculations for voltage

drop.

12. Preparation of lighting layout for boiler, turbine and balance of

plant packages.

13. Preparation of general arrangement drawing for customer approval and

for issuing to vendors.

14. Preparation of HT and LT busduct routing layouts.

15. Bid evaluation.

16. Technical discussion with vendors.

17. Approving the vendor drawings and documents for HT/LT switchboards,

transformers, HT/LT capacitors and motors, battery charger, UPS

panels.
