I have over fifteen years of retail experience. Five years as an
Assistant Manager. I have successfully provided support to a
Management team of 7 and training and direction to a staff of over 50 associates.
From 1995 to 2010, I was employed by Walmart. I began my career as a floor
associate. I received progressive promotions and encouragement from
supervisors to become a part of the management team, which I did in 2005.
In 2010 I was fortunate to be able to take a welcome break and pursue some
personal interest .
While working in retail, my experience and training is as the below mentioned.
Areas of Accomplishments:
Customer Service Communicate comfortably with customers of all
ages, vendors, Groups and sales representatives.
Able to interpret, customer concerns and needs, to ensure a
positive shopping experience.
Have received compliments on my ability to resolve customer
and employees problems, or complex issues.
Merchandise Developed many display skills via in store training and an eye
for what is appealing.
Build end caps, four ways, display cases, modular, and plan a gram. Trained and organized other
in merchandising.
Supervised the night shift to process and stock all departments,
Soft lines (Apparel) and Hard lines. (Furniture, Electronics, etc.)
Ordered merchandise and maintaining in stock. Competitive shop and cross merchandise, to
maximize sales.
Inventory Control Reviewed daily sales records, followed up, and signed off on,
Cash Office reports, conferenced with Lost Prevention
personnel. Control keys and combination to safe and doors.
Control in stock and reviewed inventory purchases.
Driving Store Experience Model and taught associates to identify and communicate ideas
to improve services for our customers. Implemented ways to
educate associates on a wide range of objectives, ie: prioritizing,
time management. Trouble shoot, and utilizing computer base
learning.
Additional Duties Hired and recruit, mentored, provide honest and accurate
feedback. Assigned task, Open and close store. Planned
schedules for Maintenance, Warehouse staff. Also evaluate and
promote employees
