Objective Obtain a position as an electrical engineer to work with a progressive and
forward thinking company where I can put my skills to practice.
Experience Manufacturing Engineer
February 2013-Present UTC Aerospace System, Santa Isabel, P.R.
Develop manufacturing instructions and routers for electrical. Support
manufacturing areas to resolve manufacturing issues and perform first
article builds. Assist with various engineering projects.
Capstone Project: Renewable Power System
August 2011- May2012, Universidad del Turabo, Gurabo P.R.
A small (2 KW) power supply with PV input power and low cost standard
batteries to provide power to selected loads in a house.
This small emergency power system with a renewable source input can also
be used as an uninterruptible power system (UPS).
A Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) was designed to drive inductive loads
as a refrigerator and in this manner increase the efficiency of the system by
energy saving.
Engineering Student Intern
May-July 2011, Michigan Tech University, Houghton, MI
Assist professors with installation, checkout and testing of modules and
machine of the microprocessors laboratory.
Assist with the development of technical presentations, papers, and reports.
Perform literature searches related EMG to identify the involuntary muscle
movement to imitate it with a joystick. This was to determine how efficient
is the EMG surface identifying the electrical discharges of the muscles.
Project: Baby Safety Car Seat System
January-May 2011, Universidad del Turabo, Gurabo P.R.
The purpose of this design is to alert a forgetful parent that in any instant in
there live can leave behind a child on the car without supervision.
This design is able to alert the parent if he or she leaves the child unattended
in the car.
Project: Solar Power System Design for a House
August-December 2010, Universidad del Turabo, Gurabo P.R.
Design a solar power system for an average house. One specific house
was selected to calculate the power consumption in order to obtain how
many of photovoltaic cells (suggested by the problem) are needed to
supply the necessary power.
