Research Experience
Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering Departm ent, Ohio University Athens, OH, USA
Research Assistant for PEM fuel cell project June to August 2011
Participated and conducted research on hybrid vehicles project funded by Department of Energy. Casted
polymer electrolyte membranes using proprietary composition. Fabricated MEAs by direct spraying and
GDL-GDE methods. Cell assembly and test.
Documented, optimized and standardized cell fabrication procedures in detail to achieve higher, more
reliable and more consistent MEA and cell performance results from handmade PEM fuel cell (the variation
is less than 30%). Validated and evaluated the cell using electrochemical techniq ues, such as,
Potentiostatic (LSV and CV), Potentiometer Galvanostat, and Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy,
and microscopy analysis, i.e., SEM and EDAX.
Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering Department, Ohio University Athens, OH, USA
Teaching Assistant January to December 2010; March to June 2011
Supervised and coached student (~20 students/ class) regarding the experiments and organized and
prepared the specimens for laboratory classes through systematically located the samples and tools in lab
for students to complete the experiment more effectively and 20 % more efficiently.
