of Alkali metals ions like Li+, Na+ & K+ as a model compound of

Wurster's Poly(p-phenylene vinylene)

. Studied Organic Host-Guest Chemistry of the end product

. Investigated the fluorescence and electrochemical properties and

compared with the Wurster's PPV. The Oligomer exhibited reversible

electrochemistry with three oxidation and three reduction peaks; while

Wurster's PPV showed irreversible electrochemistry

. Oligomer could be used as switchable sensors and have reusable property.
