Projects prepared and kept ready to submit:

1. ''Studies on development of novel synthetic strategies towards the

synthesis of new pyrazoloquinolines valuable in biology and electronic

devices'' (Total Budget-57 lakhs).

2. ''Synthesis and probing of intra- and intermolecular competitive

interactions of fluorinated new organic compounds through NMR studies''

(Total Budget-10 lakhs).

Professional and Technical Skills:

a) Developed a organic chemistry research laboratory and independent

research group in PG Dept of Chemistry, Jain University, Bangalore.

b) Expertise in target-oriented multistep organic synthesis

c) Proficient in performing cryogenic reactions, handling of air and

moisture sensitive reagents and reactions

d) Efficient in carrying out organic transformations on milligram to

multigram scale

e) Educated in purification techniques such as distillation,

crystallization, sublimation, column chromatography and HPLC

f) Competent in characterization of organic compounds using spectroscopic

techniques such as 1H and 13C NMR, IR spectroscopy, X-ray

crystallography and Mass spectrometry.

g) Good experience in searching various scientific databases using

Scifinder, reaxys and ISI Web of knowledge

h) Well versed with word processor software both on Windows and various

Chemistry related software packages e.g. Chem Draw, ISIS draw.
