The responsibilities for this position included:

procurement and operating strategies, plans, tactics, budgets and
forecasts to meet or exceed service objectives, reduce landed and
delivered costs, optimize operating efficiency and maximize return on
investment;
. creating a customer-driven organization that is responsive to internal

Manager, Collaborative Procurement - Logistics, 2003 - 2007
This position provided internal subject matter expertise for the
collaborative selection, development and direction of strategic processes,
supplier negotiations and relationships. This position was empowered to
collaborate with a number of logistical functional areas, assume complete
procurement responsibility, when appropriate, from the inception of a new
project to the execution of an agreement and beyond for an extensive range
of initiatives.
As Non-Merchandise Procurement's single point of contact and only core team
member on the Logistics Procurement Council (LPC), I am very proud of the
following personal and/or LPC accomplishments:
. only member of SHC Non-Merchandise Procurement to ever receive the Coin
of Excellence Award for demonstrating outstanding leadership skills in
furtherance of Sears' quest to exceed cost and service objectives;
. exceeded the Logistics Procurement Council's 2003-2006 savings objective
by 285%;
. reduced relocation moving expense by $1,000,000 or 20% annually;
. achieved 10%+ cost reduction in multiple 3PL warehousing and fulfillment
service agreements;
. extensive background in support of Sears Home Delivery Services overall
procurement strategy;
. provided oversight, guidance, direction and enterprise wide negotiation

This position had overall responsibility for managing all externally
provided transportation, distribution, warehousing and logistics services
for Ameritech, Southwestern Bell, Pacific Bell and Cingular. Primary
responsibilities include long-term strategic sourcing strategy development
and implementation, RFP / bid event execution, contract negotiation,
supplier relationship management, project management and event
coordination. This position managed projects in an unstructured
environment, requiring frequent interface with senior and executive
management both internally and externally.
As Team Lead for AT&T's transportation, distribution, warehousing and
logistics cross-functional sourcing team (CFST), I am very proud of the
following personal and/or CFST accomplishments:
. produced $21,272,000 in CFST savings;
. reduced transaction costs by 61% or $637,209 over three years with third
party freight bill auditor/processor;
. reduced express mail and parcel transaction costs by an average of 38%
over three years with top two express parcel carriers;
. reduced leased PC return costs by 49% over three years;
. member of the SBC/Ameritech merger team responsible for planning the
integration of various autonomous groups into a single Procurement
entity;
. exceeded business partner's expectations by establishing an interactive
intranet website months ahead of schedule which reduced order cycle times
by as much as 94% and increased productivity by as much as 1000%;
. established a vendor relationship management process to address such
issues as performance metrics reporting, the creation of a certified
supplier program, the establishment of joint goal and budget setting, as

As Manager, Global Transportation & Logistics, I was responsible for
leading and directing all operational and contractual issues impacting AT&T
Transportation & Logistics. Interfaced extensively with warehousing,
distribution, materials management, and AT&T's external carrier base.

Major accomplishments include:
. two promotions and one Call to Excellence Award;
. improved overall on-time service levels of 8%;
. Procurement savings of more than $50,000,000;
. transparent transition of dedicated truckload, over-the-road truckload,
less-than-truckload, air and express mail/parcel service providers;
. established a Certified Supplier program;
. work stoppage contingency planning coordinator between internal
operations and primary carriers with direct responsibility for training
approximately 300 management employees to become class A or B commercial
drivers license holder;
. seamless integration of international supplier base and the resulting
import shipping process;
. established an off-site receipting program utilizing replication
processes and procedures, dedicated telecommunication land lines and RF
technology with primary inbound transportation provider resulting in
decreased handling/processing costs of $280,000 annually and reduced
transportation/receiving intervals of up to 24 hours;
. integration of outsourced reverse logistics/reclamation processing
project with 3PL to reduce costs by $450,000 annually, reduce shipping
delays, and minimize over-crowded conditions/ internal bottlenecks;
. melded purchase order and shipment information into UPS' 3D fuzzy label;
. secured buy-in from AT&T's inbound cable suppliers to utilize the same
process, 3PL and TL carriers to create quasi-dedicated environment on
inbound, as well as empty reel return shipments, to lower overall costs
and significantly improve service to the field;
. partnered with 3PL and dedicated truckload service provider to supervise
all inbound, backhaul and outbound truckload shipments; and
. reduced AT&T's core carrier base by 60%.
