PowerPoint.
Experience:
DRS-RSTA FL
Mechanical Engineer, November 2007 – Present
Works as a mechanical engineer to develop very complex and tightly toleranced opto-mechanical
assemblies. Primary analyst for multiple programs through the years using NASTRAN FEA and AFEA
solvers, Pro/Mechanica and CFDesign. Worked with multiple disciplines of engineers to develop designs,
manufacturing plans and test plans. Have recently been making use of the PULSE system for live data
acquisition of shock and vibration profiles of various vehicles and mechanical systems.
Lead mechanical engineer, TSII (thermal sight, two field of view): Managed a team of 4 mechanical
engineers and designers to design a thermal sight for the RWS platform. Performed design
analyses for vibration, shock, high operating temperature and a transient low operating
temperature.
Lead mechanical engineer, TSII HD (thermal sight, two field of view, high definition): An upgrade to
the previous system. Redesigned internal components to allow for a larger detector assembly and
alternate optics. Performed vibration, shock and thermal analyses.
Lead mechanical engineer, USS (Urban Sensor Suite): Worked with our customer jointly to develop 3
different demonstration assemblies in a similar package to accommodate different lens
assemblies. Performed thermal and structural analyses for operating purposes.
Analyst and design support for various additional programs which included several laser range
finders, laser designators, LED test assemblies.
