acceleration of Oxy-Cope rearrangements in determining the rates of

rearrangement and in elucidating product stereochemistry.

o Developed a novel enzymatic resolution of chemically labile racemic

cyclopropane carboxyl esters to enantiopure carboxylic acids (a key

component of Lambda Cyhalothrin/Pyrethroid )

o Developed a new Lewis acid system for activation of inexpensive and

non-hazardous PMHS for selective reduction of carbonyl compounds to

alcohols & selective reduction of highly sensitive benzylidene

acetals of sugars in a regio selective manner.

o Applied TaCl5 as an effective Lewis acid catalyst in chemoselective

trimerisation, aldolization and thioketalization.
