Personal Profile
I am an undergraduate student at the University of Surrey studying BA Media Studies. After
my degree I would like to work as part of a production team in film or television.
My strengths include an enthusiastic and committed approach to any task given to me,
teamwork and my organisation skills.
Relevant Experience
Audio Visual Production (First Year)
Semester one’s individual project for first year involved the use of Final Cut Pro editing
program, a tripod, the Canon XM2 video camera and a rifle mic.
Documentary Film Practice 1 (Second Year)
Semester one’s group project or second year involved the use of Final Cut Pro editing
program, rifle mic, lapel mic, tripod and a GY-HM100E HD memory card camera recorder.
Deputy Technical Producer of MADTV (Second Year)
Part of the committee of the university’s television station where I continually film using the
Sony HXR-MC2000E HD camera and radio mic and used Adobe Premiere Pro for editing. I
worked part of team delegating and helping other members of MADTV.
ITV’s This Morning
A week’s work experience where I experienced back stage and saw all the jobs that were
involved in producing a TV programme.
Media Studies Project
I volunteered to assist Cornel Sandvoss, media studies lecturer, film a video promoting the
media studies course at the University of Surrey. I used a video camera and added
suggestions to the filming.
Placement
I am currently on a year’s placement at a small film production company in Suffolk where I
have edited and filmed commercial videos as well as working with children in workshops. I
used Final Cut Pro.
