Contract Negotiator/Contract Specialist Work Experience

1. Provided contract administration and purchasing support to a significant program area or work site. Performed duties and tasks in accordance with customer and company directives, the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).

2. Analyzed requirements of purchase requests to determine adequacy for procurement actions.

3. Participated in annual negotiations regarding existing and proposed contracts and subcontracts. Negotiated Price on Firm Fixed Prices and estimated costs and fixed fees.

4. Reviews, coordinates, negotiates and prepares contracts involving deliverables, modifications, change orders, fee negotiations and performance evaluation documents. Awarded contracts that best suited the customer needs.

5. Prepared requisitions for acquisition of equipment, material or services per government requests.

6. Assists with efforts to expand involvement with small business entities.

7. I awarded several types firm fixed contracts, service contracts that had a base year and a option of four more years, labor contracts, and various maintenances type contracts. The amounts of the contract were large and small contracts.

8. Perform other duties as assigned.

Quality Assurance Coordinator

1. Provided guidance for Quality Assurance Personnel (QAP). Ensured that the Government received the services the services for which it contracted. Responsible for coordinating each QAP surveillance activity and training.

2. Maintain statistical records/data bases for routine reporting of metrics and related measurements of contracting/purchasing performance.

Working knowledge of contract types such as cost-plus, firm fixed price, and T&M; the Service Contract Act; FAR and DFARS clauses and special provisions.

Level II Program Manager.

Working knowledge of overall accounting functions and accounting software programs and planning/organizing skills as well.
